About
We are a new, young and enthusiastic group of researchers who are keen to discover novel therapies for cardiovascular diseases. Taking advantage of the amazing infrastructure at the "Victor Babes" National Institute of Pathology in Bucharest, we aim to reach higher level of knowledge in molecular and cellular mechanisms of atherosclerotic processes and myocardial infarction. Our new research approach includes courses and workshops for students from all levels and all fields, thus creating an ideal interdisciplinary environment for research programs competitive worldwide.
We welcome everybody who likes challenges and wants to contribute to and promote cardiovascular research.

Our group has a special focus on studying the mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, in order to sustain the development of novel therapeutical strategies to treat atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction.

We have an extensive expertise in animal models of cardiovascular diseases. We are also involved in many interdisciplinary projects together with medical doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, computer scientists, physicians, chemists, biologists, etc. Our partnerships extend to Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Singapore, Great Britain and USA.

The main goal of our group is to promote the understanding of biologically / medically relevant principles, so that the students can develop their own research projects and be able to sustain themselves based on a well-founded knowledge background.
